QuickJack 6000ELX: The Ultimate Portable Car Lift for Electric Vehicles and Luxury Cars

When your Tesla Model S, Audi A8, or BMW 7 Series won’t fit on a standard portable lift, the QuickJack 6000ELX steps up where other models fall short. This super-long portable car lift is purpose-built for the 1-2% of vehicles that demand more—specifically electric vehicles and luxury sedans with exceptionally wide jack point spreads that leave traditional lifting equipment struggling.

Why the 6000ELX Exists

The Quickjack 6000ELX solves a problem that’s becoming more common as EVs flood Australian driveways: most portable lifts simply can’t reach the jack points on long-wheelbase electric and luxury vehicles. While QuickJack’s TL series handles about 90% of vehicles and the TLX series covers most of the rest, the 6000ELX tackles that final segment—the cars that are too long, too wide, or too heavy for anything else in the portable lift category.

Industry-Leading Lift Point Spread

The defining feature of the Quickjack ELX is its massive 53 to 76-inch lift point spread—the widest in the QuickJack lineup. Compare that to the TL series (37-60 inches) or TLX series (43-66 inches), and you’ll understand why this model exists. That extra reach means you can safely lift vehicles with jack points positioned at the extreme edges of the chassis, exactly where most EVs and luxury sedans locate them.

Built for the EV Revolution

Electric vehicles aren’t just different—they’re heavier and longer than their petrol-powered equivalents. The 6000ELX was engineered specifically for this new generation of vehicles, with a 6,000-lb capacity that handles the added weight of battery packs while maintaining the portability and ease of use QuickJack is known for.
Whether you’re a Tesla owner maintaining your Model S at home, a detailer serving high-end clients, or a full-service garage preparing for the EV maintenance boom, the Quickjack 6000ELX gives you professional lifting capability without the footprint or cost of a traditional two-post or four-post lift.

Specifications That Matter

At 86.75 inches long, the 6000ELX is 17 inches longer than standard TL models and approximately 10 inches longer than extended TLX models. Yet it maintains the same 3.5-inch collapsed height that makes QuickJack lifts legendary for low-clearance work and compact storage. Each frame weighs 112 lbs—manageable for garage use—and rolls on urethane wheels for easy positioning and storage when you’re done.

Who Needs the 6000ELX?

This isn’t the QuickJack for everyone, and that’s exactly the point. The Quickjack ELX targets three specific groups: EV owners who’ve discovered their car won’t fit on standard equipment, auto detailing shops handling luxury and electric vehicles without space for permanent lifts, and forward-thinking workshops preparing for the inevitable shift to electric vehicle servicing.

If your vehicle fits on a standard QuickJack, save the money and stick with the TL or TLX series. But if you’re staring at jack points that sit 70+ inches apart, the 6000ELX is the only portable solution that’ll get the job done safely and professionally.

What vehicles is a QuickJack NOT suitable for?

QuickJack is not suitable for heavy trucks, buses, or vehicles that exceed the rated capacity of the model you’ve selected. The 3500SLX is not designed for trucks or SUVs — it’s intended for lighter, low-clearance vehicles. Always check that your vehicle’s weight falls within the model’s capacity and that the collapsed frame height of approximately 89 mm will clear your vehicle’s underside before purchasing.

How high does a QuickJack lift?

The 6000 series lifts to approximately 610 mm. With adapters and pins, you can reach around 679 mm. The 8000 series lifts to approximately 622 mm, or around 686 mm with the truck and SUV adapter kit.

How low does a QuickJack sit when collapsed?

All current models sit at approximately 89 mm in their collapsed state with standard 2-inch blocks fitted. This is low enough to slide under most standard-ride-height vehicles. For lowered cars, check your minimum clearance before buying — our measuring guide covers this.

What is the lift point spread on each model?

The lift point spread is the adjustable range between where the two frames contact your vehicle’s lifting points. Here’s a quick reference:
• 6000TL: approximately 940 mm–1,524 mm
• 6000TLX: approximately 1,092 mm–1,676 mm
• 6000ELX: approximately 1,346 mm–1,930 mm
• 8000TL: approximately 940 mm–1,524 mm
• 8000TLX: approximately 1,092 mm–1,676 mm
Measure your vehicle’s lifting points front-to-rear before choosing a model.

How long does it take to lift a car?

Around 30 seconds from ground to full rise. Setup — sliding the frames into position and connecting the hoses — takes a few minutes the first time and gets quicker once you’re familiar with the system.

Is it safe to work under a QuickJack?

Yes. QuickJack uses a dual-position automatic safety lock system. The locks engage mechanically at both mid-rise and full-rise, meaning once you’re up, the vehicle’s weight is sitting on steel locks — not hydraulic pressure. This is a key difference from a standard floor jack. Never work under a vehicle supported only by hydraulic pressure.

Do I still need jack stands?

No. QuickJack’s mechanical safety locks are designed to hold the vehicle securely without jack stands. The frames lock at mid-rise and full-rise and only release when you flip the lock bar. That said, always use the lock position appropriate for the work you’re doing and follow the operator’s manual.

How does the safety lock system work?

As the frames rise, the automatic safety locks glide into place at two points — mid-rise and full-rise. The vehicle’s load transfers onto these mechanical locks, not the hydraulic system. To lower the vehicle, you manually release the locks and use the pendant control to bring the frames down.

Are both frames guaranteed to rise evenly?

Yes. QuickJack uses a pressure-compensated flow divider in the hydraulic power unit. This keeps both frames lifting and lowering in sync at all times, preventing uneven loading on the vehicle.

Can I use a QuickJack on my driveway or uneven ground?

QuickJack works best on a flat, firm surface such as concrete or compacted asphalt. It can be used on gravel or pavers, but you’ll want to check that the ground is level and stable before lifting. Placing plywood under the frames can help spread the load and give a bit of extra stability on softer surfaces.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes, QuickJack can be used outdoors provided the surface is firm and level. Just keep it out of standing water, and if you’re storing it outdoors long-term, protect it from the elements when not in use.

How do I store it when I’m not using it?

The frames fold flat for compact storage. QuickJack also offers official Wall Hangers that mount to your wall and keep the frames off the floor — a clean solution for garages where floor space matters.
