TALK TO A GARAGE EXPERT

Not sure where to start with your garage setup? We’ve helped countless customers design smarter, more efficient garages and we can do the same for you. Contact us today and let’s map it out.

When Stands and Ramps Waste Time, QuickJack 6000 Series Portable Car Lift Keeps Your Garage Workflow Moving

The QuickJack 6000 is the next generation portable car lift, giving you a higher 6,000 lb (2,722 kg) capacity in the same compact footprint as the outgoing 5000 series. It is ideal for home garages, detail bays and track days where you want fast, safe under-car access without committing to a permanent hoist.

When The 5000TL is at its Limit - Quickjack 6000TL Gives You More Headroom and Stability

The 6000TL lifts up to 6,000 lb to a true 24 inch (610 mm) working height, so you get more capacity and more clearance for exhausts, suspension work and underbody detailing. Structural upgrades such as thicker cross members, improved weld geometry and stronger pivot joints increase rigidity and stability under load, all without changing the 70 inch frame length you are already used to with 5000TL systems.

Why Choose the 6000TLX Variant for Longer Wheelbase Vehicles?

The 6000TLX is the extended version of the 6000TL, designed for vehicles with longer wheelbases or wider lift point spreads such as utes, SUVs and some performance sedans. It retains the same 6,000 lb capacity and 24 inch lift height but stretches the frame length to 76 inches and increases the lift point spread range to approximately 43–66 inches, compared with 37–60 inches on the standard 6000TL. If you regularly work on longer vehicles, the TLX variant gives you that extra reach and flexibility.

QuickJack 6000TL/X Locking, Control and Pad Placement That Reduces the Usual Lifting Risks

Both 6000TL and 6000TLX use a redesigned electric/hydraulic power unit with a pressure-compensated flow divider, which keeps both frames lifting and lowering perfectly in sync for smoother, safer operation. Dual-position automatic safety locks engage automatically at mid-rise and full-rise, so once you are up, the lift is mechanically secured without extra steps. A simple pendant control allows true one-handed operation, leaving your other hand free to steady the vehicle or manage hoses and stands.

Where can I read more detailed FAQ's?

You can read all of our detailed FAQs here: https://organisedworkshop.com.au/pages/faq

What’s the difference between the TL and TLX models?

The TL is the standard frame length, suited to most passenger cars and smaller SUVs. The TLX is the extended version — the frame is longer and the lift point spread is wider, which gives you the extra reach needed for utes, dual-cab vehicles, longer wheelbase SUVs and some performance sedans. Both variants share the same capacity and lift height. If in doubt, check your vehicle’s wheelbase against the lift point spread in our measuring guide.

What’s the difference between the 6000 and 8000 series?

It comes down to capacity. The 6000 series lifts up to 2,722 kg and suits the majority of passenger cars, hatchbacks, sports cars, and mid-size SUVs. The 8000 series steps up to 3,629 kg and is designed for heavier vehicles — dual cab utes, larger SUVs, and full-size trucks. Both series offer a standard (TL) and extended (TLX) frame variant.

Which model is right for my vehicle?

Start with your vehicle’s weight. For most everyday cars and mid-size SUVs, the 6000 series is the go-to. If you’re regularly working on utes, large 4WDs or anything heavier, look at the 8000 series. Then decide between TL and TLX based on your vehicle’s wheelbase. Our QuickJack measuring guide walks you through exactly what to measure. Still unsure? Call us on 1300 405 581.

What vehicles is a QuickJack NOT suitable for?

QuickJack is not suitable for heavy trucks, buses, or vehicles that exceed the rated capacity of the model you’ve selected. The 3500SLX is not designed for trucks or SUVs — it’s intended for lighter, low-clearance vehicles. Always check that your vehicle’s weight falls within the model’s capacity and that the collapsed frame height of approximately 89 mm will clear your vehicle’s underside before purchasing.

How high does a QuickJack lift?

The 6000 series lifts to approximately 610 mm. With adapters and pins, you can reach around 679 mm. The 8000 series lifts to approximately 622 mm, or around 686 mm with the truck and SUV adapter kit.

How low does a QuickJack sit when collapsed?

All current models sit at approximately 89 mm in their collapsed state with standard 2-inch blocks fitted. This is low enough to slide under most standard-ride-height vehicles. For lowered cars, check your minimum clearance before buying — our measuring guide covers this.

What is the lift point spread on each model?

The lift point spread is the adjustable range between where the two frames contact your vehicle’s lifting points. Here’s a quick reference:
• 6000TL: approximately 940 mm–1,524 mm
• 6000TLX: approximately 1,092 mm–1,676 mm
• 6000ELX: approximately 1,346 mm–1,930 mm
• 8000TL: approximately 940 mm–1,524 mm
• 8000TLX: approximately 1,092 mm–1,676 mm
Measure your vehicle’s lifting points front-to-rear before choosing a model.

How long does it take to lift a car?

Around 30 seconds from ground to full rise. Setup — sliding the frames into position and connecting the hoses — takes a few minutes the first time and gets quicker once you’re familiar with the system.

Is it safe to work under a QuickJack?

Yes. QuickJack uses a dual-position automatic safety lock system. The locks engage mechanically at both mid-rise and full-rise, meaning once you’re up, the vehicle’s weight is sitting on steel locks — not hydraulic pressure. This is a key difference from a standard floor jack. Never work under a vehicle supported only by hydraulic pressure.

Do I still need jack stands?

No. QuickJack’s mechanical safety locks are designed to hold the vehicle securely without jack stands. The frames lock at mid-rise and full-rise and only release when you flip the lock bar. That said, always use the lock position appropriate for the work you’re doing and follow the operator’s manual.

How does the safety lock system work?

As the frames rise, the automatic safety locks glide into place at two points — mid-rise and full-rise. The vehicle’s load transfers onto these mechanical locks, not the hydraulic system. To lower the vehicle, you manually release the locks and use the pendant control to bring the frames down.

Are both frames guaranteed to rise evenly?

Yes. QuickJack uses a pressure-compensated flow divider in the hydraulic power unit. This keeps both frames lifting and lowering in sync at all times, preventing uneven loading on the vehicle.

Can I use a QuickJack on my driveway or uneven ground?

QuickJack works best on a flat, firm surface such as concrete or compacted asphalt. It can be used on gravel or pavers, but you’ll want to check that the ground is level and stable before lifting. Placing plywood under the frames can help spread the load and give a bit of extra stability on softer surfaces.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes, QuickJack can be used outdoors provided the surface is firm and level. Just keep it out of standing water, and if you’re storing it outdoors long-term, protect it from the elements when not in use.

Can I use it for motorcycle lifting?

Yes, with the optional QuickJack Motorcycle Lift Adapter Kit. This kit slots into your existing QuickJack frames and converts them into a purpose-built motorcycle service lift.

How do I store it when I’m not using it?

The frames fold flat for compact storage. QuickJack also offers official Wall Hangers that mount to your wall and keep the frames off the floor — a clean solution for garages where floor space matters.

Does the QuickJack work with EVs?

It depends on your vehicle. Many EVs will fit on a standard TL or TLX model — but some electric vehicles and long-wheelbase luxury cars (think Tesla Model S, BMW 7 Series, Audi A8) have jack points positioned so far apart that standard models can’t reach them. That’s exactly what the 6000ELX was built for.
The 6000ELX has a lift point spread of 1,346 mm–1,930 mm — the widest in the QuickJack range, significantly more than the TLX’s 1,092–1,676 mm. The frame is 2,203 mm long, collapses to just 89 mm, and carries the same 2,722 kg capacity as the 6000 series. Max lift height is 610 mm with stacked blocks. Each frame weighs approximately 56 kg.
If your jack points are within the TL or TLX spread, you don’t need the ELX. But if you own an EV or large luxury sedan and your current lift won’t reach, the 6000ELX is the solution. Check your vehicle’s jack point spread against the specs above, or call us on 1300 405 581 and we’ll help you work it out.
