Automatic arm restraints

Each arm is equipped with durable arm restraints that automatically engage each time the lift is raised. When the lift is lowered, the gear type arm restraints automatically disengage to provide easy positioning of the lift arms.

Maintenance-free slide blocks

Rather than using roller bearings that need constant lubrication and maintenance, we use futuristic full-floating UHMW ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene load bearings that never need lubrication and last virtually the life of the lift.

Single-piece columns

Will the MaxJax fit in my garage?

The MaxJax M7K is specifically designed for standard Australian garages with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m. The column stands 2.27m tall, so as long as your ceiling is at least 2.4m you’re good to go. It’s the lift that exists precisely because a full-size 2-post hoist won’t fit in a home garage — this one will.

What are the concrete requirements?

Your slab needs to be at least 108mm (4.25”) thick, have a compressive strength of 3,000 psi or greater, be no more than 3 degrees out of level, and have no significant cracks under where the columns will sit. Most standard Australian residential slabs meet this. If you’re unsure about your slab, your local concrete company can confirm the PSI rating. Give us a call before you order and we can talk it through.

What if I have a post-tension cable slab?

Post-tension slabs are common in many Australian homes and the MaxJax can still be installed — you just need to have the cable locations mapped out before drilling. A building engineer or post-tension cable locator service (often using ground-penetrating radar) can do this. Check the perimeter of your slab for small patched circles about 2–4 feet apart — that’s a sign of a post-tension slab.

What vehicles will the Maxjax lift?

The M7K lifts up to 3,175kg, covering cars, SUVs, utes, and light vans. The arms adjust from 2,667mm to 3,429mm wide and reach 660mm to 1,016mm, so they accommodate most passenger vehicles. Low-profile cars are also fine — the minimum pad height is just 139.7mm. If you have a specific vehicle you’re unsure about, call us on 1300 405 581 and we’ll confirm.

How does the storage/portability actually work?

Once you’re done working, the columns unbolt from their floor anchors and roll away on built-in wheels. The whole process takes about 15 minutes. The anchor bolt receivers sit flush with the concrete floor, so when the lift is stored away you’re left with a flat, usable floor. It’s genuinely designed to disappear between uses.

What’s included, and do I need anything else?

The M7K comes with both columns, the hydraulic power unit (230V), four medium-height adapters, and four stackable standard lift pad adapters. You’ll need a 230V power outlet near your installation point and a rotary hammer drill with a 7/8” concrete bit for the anchor installation. If you want us to connect you with a local installer, we can do that too — just ask.

Is it safe to leave a car on it for extended periods?

Yes. Once raised to a locking position, the lift rests on its mechanical safety locks — not hydraulic pressure. The safety locks automatically engage at each of the 7 locking positions. The car can stay up indefinitely while you work. The hydraulic system is only active during raising and lowering.
