It’s not a quiet unit while running, though the Total Stop System (TSS) means the motor cuts out completely the moment you release the trigger, so it’s only making noise when you’re actively spraying. If noise is a concern, keep that in mind for early mornings or shared walls.

The TSS (Total Stop System) automatically shuts the pump off the moment you release the trigger on the gun. The motor only runs when you’re actively spraying. This serves two purposes: it extends the life of the pump significantly by preventing it from running dry or under load with nowhere to push water, and it saves electricity. It also means the unit is safe to leave connected and powered on between uses — it simply sits idle until you pull the trigger again.

The R30 requires a minimum water supply of around 6L/min to run properly — a standard Australian garden tap delivers 12–20L/min, so most homes are fine. If your tap pressure is noticeably weak (e.g. gravity-fed tanks or low-pressure rural properties), you may see reduced output from the unit. Make sure your garden hose isn’t kinked or restricted before assuming the pressure washer is the issue.

Yes — the R30 can draw from a tank provided there’s adequate head pressure or a small booster pump maintaining supply at the inlet. It won’t self-prime or draw from a tank that’s below the unit, so the tank needs to be elevated or pressurised. This is a popular setup for detailing workshops and rural properties. The R18 is Blahst’s entry-level wall-mount unit with an 18-metre hose and lower pressure output, suited to regular home car washing and general cleaning. The R30 steps up with a 30-metre hose (giving you full driveway reach and around large vehicles like caravans and boats), a more powerful German-made motor producing 2300 PSI working pressure, and a more robust build for heavier or more frequent use. If you’re washing regularly, detailing larger vehicles, or want to cover more ground without moving the unit, the R30 is the right choice.

The R30 comes with 6 quick-connect nozzles:
• 0° High Pressure — narrow jet for blasting stubborn grime off hard surfaces. Not for use on paintwork or soft surfaces.
• 0° Low Pressure — concentrated but gentler stream. Good for rinsing tight areas.
• 15° — strong fan spray for stripping mud and heavy soiling from hard surfaces, wheels, and underbodies.
• 25° — the everyday all-rounder. Safe for car paint, driveways, patios, and general cleaning.
• 40° — wide, gentle fan. Good for rinsing, soft surfaces, and sensitive paintwork.
• 65° — very wide, low-pressure rinse. Use this for applying detergent or rinsing lightly soiled surfaces.
When in doubt, start with the 25° nozzle and adjust from there.

Fill the foam cannon bottle with a mix of your Blahst Foam Wash concentrate and water (a 1:10 ratio is a good starting point — adjust for more or less foam to taste). Attach it to the quick-connect fitting on the gun. Use the 65° low-pressure nozzle or the foam cannon’s own adjustable nozzle — do not use a high-pressure nozzle or you’ll just blow the foam off without it dwelling. Apply from bottom to top so the foam doesn’t streak, let it dwell for 2–3 minutes to loosen dirt, then rinse from top to bottom with the 25° or 40° nozzle.

After each use, release the trigger and let the TSS cut the motor, then retract the hose fully into the unit. There’s no need to drain the hose between normal uses. For longer-term storage (e.g. over winter or if unused for several months), run the unit briefly with clean water to flush any detergent from the system, then retract and store. Keep the unit out of direct frost — the pump and fittings can be damaged by freezing water inside. The weatherproof casing handles Australian heat and UV without issue. Check the inlet filter periodically for debris and rinse it clean.
