The latest TL and TLX units bump capacity, keep the low-profile, portable design everyone actually buys them for and quietly fix a bunch of the annoying bits under the skin like hydraulics and rigidity, all while staying slim enough to slide under your low-slung weekend special or stash against the wall when the missus wants her parking spot back.

What’s New With QuickJack?

QuickJack has rolled out upgraded portable lifts with higher capacities and smarter hardware, without turning them into giant, unmovable shop hoists that laugh at your garage door height. The headline news:


New 6000TL / 6000TLX models now rated to 6,000 lbs.
New 8000TL / 8000TLX models rated to 8,000 lbs – the most powerful QuickJack units so far, perfect for when your dual-cab ute starts feeling a bit cheeky on the scales.

So you’re getting more lifting muscle, but still in a package you can slide under a car, stash against the wall and drag out on a Saturday without needing three apprentices, a forklift and a signed permission slip from the boss.

Smarter Guts, Same Footprint

Underneath, there are some nerdy but important upgrades that most marketing blurbs barely mention, think of it as the workshop version of “looks the same on the outside, secretly way better at not dropping your car on your foot.”
A reengineered electric/hydraulic power unit now uses a pressure-compensated flow divider, so both frames lift and lower in sync even if one side is loaded a bit heavier, no more “why is the passenger side doing yoga?” moments.
Independent shut-off solenoids on each cylinder kill the old “one side creeps, the other doesn’t” risk if you stop mid-cycle, keeping the car level while you faff about grabbing tools.
Structural bits like cross members, weld geometry and pivot joints have been beefed up to handle the extra weight without adding bulk, because nobody wants a lift that flexes like a yoga instructor under load.

The nice part: despite all that, the lifts keep their slim 3.5–4 inch collapsed height and compact footprint, plus the same one-hand pendant controller, automatic safety locks at two heights and urethane wheels for rolling the frames around the garage like they’re on castors.

New Models and Capacities

Think of the new range as the same QuickJack you know, just with the dial turned up a notch for heavier vehicles and peace of mind. All run that 30-second full rise time on a standard 110V power unit, by the time you’ve cracked a cold one, the car’s airborne.

6000TL & 6000TLX

Rated to 6,000 lbs (2,720 kg), up from the older 5,000 lb class – your daily drivers and sports cars sorted.
Collapsed height ~3.5 inches with 2” blocks; lifts to ~21–24 inches (or 26.75 inches with adapters). Frames measure ~70 inches long (standard) or 76 inches (TLX extended reach).
TLX versions give you extended lift point reach for longer wheelbases, like the old TLX models, but with the new hydraulic brains.

8000TL & 8000TLX

Rated to 8,000 lbs (3,630 kg) – a 1,000 lb jump over the old 7000TL, making them the heaviest-duty QuickJack models to date for bigger 4WDs, SUVs and light trucks that were nudging previous limits.
Same 3.5–4 inch collapsed height, lifting to ~21.5–24.5 inches normally or ~27 inches with truck/SUV adapters. Standard frames ~70.75 inches long, ~12.5 inches wide – TLX stretches that for longer rigs.
The most powerful standard-length (TL) and extended-length (TLX) options in the lineup, with pre-assembled hydraulics for “open box and lift” simplicity.

These TL and TLX units join the wider lineup from compact BL-3500s through to extended-range 6000ELX models, so there’s now a clearer step-up path if you’re moving from little hatchbacks to heavier toys over time.

Same QuickJack Benefits, Just More of Them

All the stuff that made QuickJack the go-to “home lift that doesn’t feel like a toy” is still there; it’s just been sharpened.
Portability: Frames stay low and slim (~3.5 inches collapsed), store vertically and roll around on urethane wheels when you’re not using them – no permanent bay real estate required.
Safety: Mechanical locks engage automatically at set heights, now backed by stiffer frames, improved hydraulic control and those independent solenoids.
Compatibility: Existing accessories like pinch weld blocks, SUV/truck adapters and wall hooks remain fully compatible with these upgraded TL/TLX models, no need to toss your old kit when the new gear arrives.

So if the last generation TL series was the “this is actually usable at home” moment, these new TL and TLX models are the “same convenience, more headroom and heavier vehicles without the pucker factor” upgrade.
